Olivenz extra virgin olive oil is a blend of selected single
cultivar olive oils to produce the premium quality and tasting
attributes expected of an award-winning extra virgin olive
oil. Our premium Olivenz extra virgin olive oil imparts a crisp,
grassy taste balanced with delightfully fruity flavours and
just a hint of pepper carried onto the palate.
Quality and Certification
Olivenz extra virgin olive oil is independently tested by
AgriQuality, New Zealand's leading food laboratory, for free
fatty acid levels and peroxide levels. Further testing for
positive attributes with HortResearch Sensory Panel ensures
all our olive oil production surpasses the International Olive
Oil Council standards for extra virgin olive oil.
Olivenz extra virgin olive oil exceeds the international standard for extra virgin olive oil, with free fatty acid levels recorded below 0.1 grams per 100 grams of Oleic Acid. Our processing facilities and quality programme is based on a HACCP Food Safety Plan that is registered with New Zealand's Ministry of Health and audited by AgriQuality.
Our mechanical branch shakers have no contact with the fruit, thereby retaining 100% of the finest natural quality required to process the olives under the Olivenz extra virgin olive oil label. Sustainable farming practices are implemented on all groves that supply olives to our processing plant.
